

Having scored dozens of award-winning short and feature-length films, Nathaniel has firmly established himself as a rising talent within the next generation of film composers with his unique blending of instrumentation and musical traditions from around the world.

Born in Vancouver, Canada, Nathaniel attended school in Berne, Switzerland where he would go on to develop a passion for world music while traveling Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Earning his Bachelor’s in Film, Nathaniel would go on to work as an assistant at the world-famous audio facility, Formosa Group (Dune, Blade Runner 2049, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Last of Us), before returning to academia to earn his Master’s in Music from Berklee College of Music.

Notably, he was awarded the Zach Booer Award in 2018 for outstanding achievement in music. Nathaniel has also scored the short films A House Divided which won Best Dark Comedy in the 2022 Houston Comedy Festival and Trail's End Drive, which won Best Horror film at the International Alt Film Festival in the same year.

Currently, Nathaniel composes for the audiobook series A Bond of Silver on Audible, and the critically acclaimed graphic novel series The Few and Cursed. In 2025 Nathaniel's score to Roach Trip, starring HBO's Clare Mcnulty, is slated to release on all major streaming services. He has also been featured in Take Note's online editorial as a rising talent in the industry.

In addition, Nathaniel was awarded the Grand Prize for his orchestral work, Black Powder Through Meadow Green, in the 2025 American Battlefield Trust Scoring and Songwriting competition which commemorated the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and was judged by a panel of judges including country singer Trace Adkins and guitarist for the band Tesla, Tommy Skeoch.

Nathaniel’s work can be heard internationally in film festivals around the globe, where his compositions have been frequently awarded for their achievements in music.
